EVENT ASSOCIATE PRODUCER: RON BROWN

Ron Brown has been a film and television producer for thirty years. Prior to that Ron worked as a sound engineer, cameraman, and editor in TV in Sydney and Melbourne, including ATN-7, ABC-2, ATV-0, Mike Willesee’s Trans Media Group & Crawford Productions.

He has worked on Australian features including Mad Max and In Search of Anna. As the proprietor of Forté Communications, Ron’s clients included DuPont, BHP, James Hardie Industries, CSR, and Telecom Australia (now Telstra).

In the advertising sphere Ron has been successful at the London Advertising Awards and has an impressive reel of productions for brands including Kodak, Kambrook, Victoria’s MetRail, and 7-Eleven.

A portfolio of over 100 music videos includes John Farnham, Crowded House, Daddy Cool, Little River Band, The Church, Pseudo Echo, Split Enz, Tina Arena, and Boom Crash Opera. Ron is the only filmmaker to have twice won the Television Society of Australia ‘Penguin Award’ for Best Music Clip.

In 2015 Ron founded the Australian movie streaming service Ozflix and its not-for-profit sister organisation Australian Film Future Foundation.
